Desired End State
Before we can get you where you want to go, we need to assess your current state, which includes extracting “differentiating requirements” — what makes you unique or is challenging to solve. Using that information, we create an initial strategy reflecting our starting point, so we can determine how much will be changing. After translating your corporate strategies and objectives into requirements, we learn more about your business operations and pain points. That input is used to create a new strategy and a plan to achieve your goals, along with a shortlist of potential vendors for each of the key processes.
Vendor Selection
Drawing from our extensive experience dealing with vendors, we assist with or administer the Request for Proposal — refining your requirements to ensure respondents don’t get any easy outs, i.e., yes/no questions — and organize all vendor communication. A weighted scoring model based on your priorities and objectives is used to rank the vendors, and we will help negotiate the commercial terms of the agreement with the one(s) you select. During this stage, we also develop an implementation roadmap that represents the initial plans, layout and budget for the “build.”
Readiness Assessment
The focus here is on preparation for the build, as there are likely issues you may need to address and/or stuff that must be fixed before you will be fully ready to move forward with implementation. At this stage, we also refine plans and budgets based on the latest information available.
Organizational Design
Because people will play an important role in the success of your new system, we will conduct an organizational assessment to determine how much your departments will need to change once the technology has been implemented. This includes determining what types of training users will need and what the communication strategy will be during and after implementation.
Is This Your Challenge?
We Have No Visibility
This is one of the most common issues we hear about from clients — despite the fact that relatively budget-friendly off-the-shelf tools are available to provide visibility. You need to know where your product is at any given time for any number of reasons, including to accurately manage just-in-time inventory, be able to proactively react and respond to disruptive events, and manage risk. Achieving a 100% visibility objective is at the core of our solutions.

We’re Not Scalable
This may be the biggest reason companies look at technology solutions; as they grow, they keep needing to add — people, distribution channels, new products, you name it. We are very familiar working with clients who need a system that will work for them today and into the future, so they never miss a beat.

We Need To Reduce Costs and Improve Margins
For any business, success comes down to the bottom line, and low margins are the enemy of big profits. Clients often look to us when they are seeking to control costs to improve their operating margin, because they know we have significant experience — and success — in helping others do just that.

We Have Too Many Systems
With many companies growing through acquisition, it’s pretty common to merely hook up different systems — until someone realizes there are far too many transportation apps, and information is tough to find. Centralization is the end game for some of our clients; they turn to us to simplify their tech environment with a single platform that allows everyone to be using the same tools.

We Don’t Know What We Spent
When we ask a VP of transportation what his company spent on freight last year — and it takes him six weeks to get back to us, because he needs to track down vendors to get that information — we see a problem that we can solve. We have helped many clients implement an accounting system register , a single system of record via which all spend is documented. Keeping tabs on things like extra fuel and per product shipping costs is key to ensuring costs aren’t out of control.
