Increase Your ROI
The JBF Consulting Approach
Policy & Network Strategy
Once your system is up and running, we can function like a traditional management consultant to ensure you’re getting the most out of it. In the area of policies, we can help you identify efficiencies and streamline business processes, e.g., determining if you have the right carrier management policies in place to keep quality high and costs under control. We can also assess the physical distribution or transportation network to help you save money, increase supply chain velocity or improve customer service.
Modeling & Optimization
Using the data produced by your system, we are able to leverage tools and optimization techniques to answer a variety of questions. These include: Do I have the right footprint for my network? Am I using optimal routes? Are there any opportunities to improve my routing guides? What are my transportation policies costing me? Should I be using hubs, cross-docks or zone skipping?
We have the skill to “wrangle” the tremendous amount of data produced by your system into a centralized hub and turn it into insights/actionable items to help the business. We design dashboards that translate data into key performance indicators that are instrumental in helping you access performance and make course corrections as needed.
Because we believe you should be the owners of your technology — not us — we want to make sure you understand the capabilities you have with the tools you have in place, and how to make changes to ensure your system keeps up with the pace of business change. This is done through education changing the business paradigms of “that's an IT problem” to ensure continuous improvement is fully in play. Basically, we can teach you how to manage the application, or we can do it for you — whatever makes you most comfortable.
Is This Your Challenge?
We’ve Outgrown Our Technology/Tools
Many clients come to us thinking they don’t have enough transportation management software to meet their business needs. In some cases, we may just need to walk you through what you have and ensure you understand its capabilities. And if those capabilities are lacking, we can help you investigate your options.
