JBF Consulting was engaged to perform a domestic Full Truckload procurement event for a significant user of dry van capacity.
The scope of work included:
- Execution of Truckload Carrier procurement event for freight from manufacturing to DCs and customers
- Approximately $75 Million North American procurement event using a leading technology platform
- Tasks included data extraction and analysis, bid preparation, results analysis and scenario comparison, and carrier communications
- Documented processes so the client can perform events in the future themselves
- Results included: significant rate savings by introducing new carriers to the shipper, faster turnaround and execution of new contracts, and reduced manual effort
