Happy New Year & welcome to Edition #34 of the JBF Bulletin!

The good news is that the freight market appears to be normalizing despite some supply chain ripples from the pandemic. And, since we introduced our Freight Bid Procurement services in 2021, we have seen a large jump in activity in the second half of 2022.

This month features several JBF team contributors – Kyle Spataro, Functional Consultant, published a detailed 'how-to' Run a Painless Transportation Freight Bid primer.

Continuing along the freight bid theme, Justin Wilcox, Solutions Architect, and Mark Kroner, Solutions Architect/Partner, collaborated on this informative piece – How to Get Maximum Value From Your Transportation Freight Bid.

Brian Lewis, Director, Innovation & Client Engagement, explores the concept of Agile, Waterfall, or Wagile and how should you implement your TMS.

Last quarter, Nate Shute, host of Freightwaves The Bootstrapper's Guide to Logistics podcast and I talked about the finer points of running a supply chain consulting agency. We discussed how to evaluate risk, build scalable solutions, and what it means to work ON the business rather than IN the business. Take a listen.

Which leads me to the revelation that JBF Consulting, founded in 2003, is “almost legal” just a year shy of 21! In fact, this May marks our official 20th year in business – a significant milestone that our team of now 22 transportation logistics geek experts are very proud of.

Over the coming months, our team will highlight 20 years of changes and a look ahead in our dynamic industry - some will be thick 'educational' pieces about 20 years of collective learnings, and some will be 20 years of pent up humor, which you’ve come to expect from a bunch of Logistics Geeks With Personality.
